Poor little rich boy

I spent most of today on the couch, trying to kick a nasty cold. The bulk of my day was spent cleaning up photo images for my portfolio. As I was in the shower, getting ready for work tonight, I began thinking about how other people have probably spent their day.

The festival I'm working on now is in the poorest area of my city, and I'm sure that many of the people I have seen and met in the last week were in far less comfortable conditions. I have been slowly becoming more aware of exactly how good I have it, in my warm house with good, semi-steady work and food in the fridge. My biggest concern today was that my throat is sore, and to remember to watch the US debate tonight.

I've had good luck, and a good education to help me this far - and I guess it's my turn to join many other priveleged people in feeling guilty because of it.
