Yes, me friend

Many things have been flitting through my head over the last few days, and in fact I'm not too sure how to order them into a coherent entry so be prepared...

I got a large inflatable exercise ball in the mail the other day, a mistake by some infomercial guru (no, seriously!). Soon, he assures me, if I submit to his 25 minute-a-day exercise regimen I will have killer abs aaaaand a nice ass so I can finally fit into that bikini without feeling self-conscious....sweet. I figure why not give it a shot and see? The big plus is that it's super low-impact since all you're doing is bouncing around on an enormous ball. And I can honestly say this is probably the best exercise program I've ever done, because I spend about as much time laughing as exercising. Results to follow.

Negativity: Now I'm a pretty cynical guy at times, and can definitely have the odd stormcloud floating around my head, but I think that on the whole I tend to look on the bright side of things. I wish I could help out my more brooding friends but something tells me I can't just say "look around you, this is a beautiful amazing place and we're lucky to be here! Lighten up!" Sometimes I wish I could (and that it would work).

I learned a new tune on the 'ol tin whistle the other day. Not quite at performance-level yet (come to think of it most of the tunes I know aren't) but it's promising. Must remember to pick it up on the slow days....

I have to find out how to post pictures to this site...the moon was pretty incredible the other night and I caught it on film.

George Bush and his missile defence shield can get the hell out of my country. Try feeding the poor in your own back alleys before spending billions of dollars making Dr Strangelove-like "defence contractors" rich. Also, using my country as a dress rehearsal for Europe in January sickens me. Somebody please overthrow this government.

My friends are great. While I know I'm spending a lot of cash on nights out right now, it's totally worth it. I must keep up this level of contact with everyone, it's fantastic.

Annnnnnnd, finally, only 17 days until Xmas with Caitlin!

*grins, bounces happily on exercise ball*

If you'd like to participate again, could you drop me a line at simpson_kj at yahoo dot com and let me know? cheers!
