Countdown

It's 45 minutes til the first poll closes on the US east coast. Thus far it's gone pretty smoothly (if you can trust CNN), and in my neck of the woods nobody I've talked to has had any trouble. I'm staying in a very Democrat-oriented neighbourhood, and a Kerry squad was by the house asking if everyone had voted.

Two of Caitlin's close friends have decided not to vote, much to general displeasure. That seems to be the greatest fear at CMU, that the students will not vote because they don't think it's worthwhile, or because they don't clearly support any candidate.

Tonight Caitlin and I are either going to be staying in watching the coverage with a friend or two, or heading out to a bar somewhere and soaking in the election-night atmosphere... More election stuff to come, I'm sure.
