holy shit, I have a show
We lost a day of tech time due to a scheduling "miscommunication" with the presenter. The lighting rental company sent me all the wrong gel strings for my scrollers, lost the gobo I ordered, and hadn't ordered the gel I requested. My operator is unbelievably overqualified and a person I really respect as a designer, and he quietly watched me as the pieces fell apart (pressure I didn't need at the time).
BUT. In the end, despite the adversity, I have a show. And if I do say so, it looks okay. I had another person I really respect say to me that she was proud of my work. That means a lot, but there's still room for improvement.
For now, though, I'm pretty happy.
