well well WELL...

I'm posting this before a big mass email goes out sometime tomorrow - if you're reading this on Thursday you'll be scooping all your friends.

I got a phone call today: I have been accepted to the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU.

I'm not sure how to put the way I feel about this into words.... It will probably be the most challenging thing I have ever done, and the riskiest. I'm worried and unbelievably excited at the same time.

I'm also, if I may say, proud of myself. I went for it, applied to three of the top schools in the US, and all three want me. Holy crap.

So now comes the other hard part: I need to jump through all the student visa hoops in a very short period of time...

In a totally unrelated vein, today is now (by my clock) Thursday April 13. Happy birthday to one of my favourite artists, Samuel Beckett.

Thanks for the phone message the other day, Naf! Some day I'll get around to letting everyone know in mass-email format...

You are welcome to stay at our place, but keep in mind that unless it's summer we may both be total stress cases at the time and pulling ridiculous hours.

We'll have to get a pretty sturdy couch due to all the friends who will be crashing! :)

Sean: Thanks, and consider yourself on the ever-growing guest list! Just be sure to email or call before turning up! ;)

Luke: This is going to be an insane couple of years for both of us isn't it? I'm sure your program is going to be a great experience for you too. We should begin conspiring on a post-grad collaboration now! New York and London go hand-in-hand, after all... I know a good sound designer we could rope in as well, provided she can find time away from her kickass architectural lighting design job in Manhattan. :)
